Book Overview

Time travel to medieval Wales ... Daughter of Time is a prequel to the After Cilmeri Series, and is appropriate for ages 13 and up.

A medieval man with an uncertain destiny, Llywelyn, the Prince of Wales, faces treachery and deceit at the hands of friends and foes alike …

A modern woman with a troubled past, Meg’s life is in tatters when she slips through time and into medieval Wales …

Only by working together can Meg and Llywelyn navigate the shifting allegiances that threaten the very existence of Wales–and create their own history that defies the laws of time.

**A note from the author: I am so happy to be able to share with you this prequel to the After Cilmeri series. I created Footsteps in Time and Prince of Time first, and only wrote Daughter of Time after so many readers wanted to know how the story began. Meg's journey is continued in Footsteps in Time and Winds of Time, a novella that is meant to be a companion to the series. Happy reading!

Such a sweet book. Love the time travel element. Very Diana "Gabaldonish". Also an easy read. It's a prequel to Footsteps In Time and must be read in order to understand It. You'll enjoy this one!

It was written well and was very captivating, however, the ending, literally, made my heart go into my stomach and that upset me. To each his own but I enjoy happy endings when I read a romance novel...

I just finished this book. I very much enjoyed every moment reading it. The characters are extremely real and came alive in this story. I really didn't want it to end when I came to the end of this book. I am one of these people that reread books and this one I will definitely read again.

  • Romance with a Twist?

I'm in agreement with a previous review that 'Daughter of Time' does not qualify as a Historical Romance. It felt as if I (the reader and therefore privy to being a 'Peering Tom') were excluded from the intimate details of Meg and Llewelyn's life together - a definite no-no as far as Historical Romance is concerned. As a Historical Novel, this book was highly informative. I have virtually no knowledge regarding Welsh history and found that this book has opened up a whole new world for me, in which I am privileged to meet remarkable people. Thank you, Sarah Woodbury, for enriching the World of Writing with what you have to offer! Though I am a devoted and committed Historical Romance reader, I will be acquiring more of Ms Woodbury's novels.
