Grade 3-5- This book provides many wonderful pieces of information about animal adaptations. The begining of the book gives the reader basic knowledge of the development of insects. It then discusses specific insects and their individual adapations. The book is full of beautiful photography that supports it's information. It also has a glossary that defines key vocabulary, as well as a list of web sites that would provide you with more detailed information. At the end of the book their is an activity that teaches you how to create a habitat for a stick insect. Great book for teaching and independent learning.
