About the Author
Michelle A. Gourdine, M.D., is CEO and principal consultant, Michelle Gourdine and Associates, a health policy consulting firm. She is the former deputy secretary of health and chief public health physician for the state of Maryland, and is currently clinical assistant professor in the departments of pediatrics and epidemiology/preventive medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and senior associate, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She lives in Owings Mills, MD.

It is very difficult to find a health book that deals specifically with African American health and Reclaiming Our Health: A Guide to African American Wellness is a very informative and well written book.

If you look at the title you may think Oh No another health book. But look again. This book gives us answers to questions you forgot to ask your doctor don't know to ask your doctor or afraid to ask your doctor. Simple solutions in terms you can understand. Everyday things we can do with over the counter cheap solutions to a better life.
Get it and read it at your leisure I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

This books answers those questions that many of us have been asking ourselves for years. This is a must read, no matter if you are in the best or worst health. The book is very informative!!! Bravo to the author!!
