Nutrition through the life cycle

Nutrition Through the Life Cycle is an excellent textbook. There are a lot of details about nutrients needed in each part of the life cycle. There are the common risk factors, the etiology, and the effects of each of the main chronic diseases.

If this book is required or suggested for a nutrition class, it's definitely worth the money to buy it. The chapters on pregnancy and infant nutrition are particularly noteworthy. I ended up reading it all, even the chapters that weren't required for my class. I will be keeping it for future reference.
