About the Author
MARISA ENSOR is Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Faculty Liaison for the Center for Migration and Refugee Studies at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She has conducted anthropological research and consultation on issues related to disaster-, conflict- and development-induced migration in Latin America, North Africa, Spain and the United States.
ELZBIETA M. GOZDZIAK is Director of Research at the Institute for the Study of International Migration (ISIM) at Georgetown University, USA and Editor of the journal of International Migration.
